Picking a leaf from Buni Christopher, a former Kyambogo University Guild President who proposed to his then girlfriend on 2nd April 2018 in the middle of the road, Sam Kaggwa Malokweza pulled it off in a similar style.
On Good Friday, 2nd April 2021, the Uganda Christian University lecturer brought Entebbe Road traffic to a deadlock as he popped the question to his girlfriend, Hope.
In the glare of boda-boda riders, taxi drivers and their passengers, along with bystanders, Sam bent to one knee and asked for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage.
Blown away by the ultimate surprise, the exhilaration rendered Hope speechless. And as love and luck would have it, Hope said Yes.
To celebrate the day’s lovely moments, the couple went on to dine with some of their close friends.
