We met at an impromptu vacation in Nevada—Nancy and Nii Tetteh

Indeed it is true what they say, that you can never know where or how you will meet the love of your life until you do.

For Nancy Tackie-Yarboi, formerly Shitakha, a Business Systems Analyst by profession, she and her now traditionally wedded husband Nii Tetteh Tackie-Yarboi met in a foreign country (USA) while on “an impromptu vacation”.

“We met in March 2018 at an impromptu vacation in Nevada,” Nancy told Mikolo when asked about how she and Nii, a Software Developer/Engineer by profession, met.

Clearly meeting someone isn’t enough to have you looked in for life but when that someone ticks all the boxes, then why not. The bride described her heartthrob as one with “a great sense of humor”…(Have always heard that men from West Africa always have a good sense of humor.)

“Nii has a great sense of humor. He’s kind and loving and most importantly he knows and fears God.”

On December 20, 2022, Nancy officially introduced her fiancé Nii Teteh at her “mother’s home in Kiwatule”, Kampala.

As a kind of word advice for brides-to-be, Nancy says “put God first in all that you do”.

And while speaking about her customary wedding planning process, the bride noted that it “went really well. My amazing family members all banded together to organize the events. Their hard work really paid off because everything was successful.”
