“I Settled Down With The Best Man Ever”, says Joan Tumusiime
We caught up with a freshly wedded bride Joan Tumusiime who shared their love story with and life highlights with Frank Kyomya.
”Frank is a very humble man who knows how to handle me. He loves listening and talks less. He will always give you answers when you needs them most.” Joan described Frank. To Joan, she had never met a man like Frank all her life. She decided to settle down with her.
How they met
Joan and Frank met at Faith High School where they both went to school in 2013. Like in most love stories they 2 started as friends until one day when Frank made a unique visit during their high school vacation. “Frank, came home during our vacation and declared his love to me. On that day our status surely changed” Joan narrates. “Of course, I loved him so I said a straight yes and our love story started from that point” she continues.
As fate would have it Joan and Frank were again admitted to Kyambogo University together and they only got stronger and better.
The proposal
“I was in my last year at university when he proposed” Joan notes. I was invited to a dinner in Ntinda by a friend of mine and I actually thought it was another day out with the “girls”. “I told Frank about it and even asked for permission” she adds. I dressed up casually and set off for my dinner and on reaching their, they were a number of my friends and of course we got started with the usual jokes and fun as we slowly enjoyed our meal.
Now, middle way the dinner, Frank appeared and bent to one knee and pulled out a ring and asked for my hand in marriage. “I can’t even recall the real words because I was nervous, happy, crying all at the same time” a smiling Joan narrates. Long story short, I said yes and he put a ring on my finger and the rest is history
The wedding
Joan & Frank wedded on 15th April 2017 at Kampala Baptist church in Nankulabye with Pastor Julius Twongeire as the officiant ant treated their guests to a colourful reception at the Sheraton garden Kampala
The two are expecting their first baby soon.
