We Met Through A Workmate, Darlen & Bob Reveal

“You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down What's going on in that beautiful mind I'm on your magical mystery ride And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright,” the lyrics of John Legend’s ‘All of me’ that suit Bob's time during the time he was trying to court Darlen.

Darlen reveals that she and her husband Nankunda Bob Rodney met through a workmate at Daytona in Ntinda.

“We met through a friend and a workmate at that time in Ntinda at Daytona,” she said.

Although Darlen is still a student, she says they had been dating for about a year and a half when Bob, a manager at an international firm asked for her hand in marriage.

Bob’s irresistible charms won him a 'Yes' as Darlen accepted her proposal before introducing him to her family members, relatives and friends on 29th December 2016 at her parent’s home in Bwanga, Nyarushanje, Kebisoni.

Almost two months later, Bob sealed the deal as he walked his beautiful wife down the aisle at All saints Cathedral, Kampala just four days after Valentines’ Day (18th February 2017). The newlyweds hosted their guests at the Commonwealth Banqueting Hall at Speke Resort Munyonyo where they also had their photo shoot.

Darlen recounts that planning early was very key for them to pull off the wedding.

“It was so much easy because we started planning earlier in October 2016 and we only had two wedding meetings,” Darlen said before advising couples that intend to marry that they should “work within their reach and enjoy the day because it comes once.”

Bob took his better half to Dubai and Mauritius for their honeymoon and the experience was nothing but fun for the two lovebirds. “It was a great experience and it was full of fun. We enjoyed the every last bit of it,” Darlen remarked.
