Eight Things Every Bride Should Do On The Eve Of Their Wedding

It’s impossible to have everything go perfectly smooth as planned on the day of your wedding, but it’s good to leave no stone unturned to minimise hiccups. Therefore here is a guide of eight things that every bride should do on the eve of her wedding and perhaps enjoy her last few hours before walking down the aisle.

Have a final briefing session with the bridal party

A final briefing session is for you to assign or guide each bridesmaid with a specific role. Whether this includes holding your cellphone throughout the whole day tomorrow or following you to the washroom, every bridesmaid should know just exactly what she’s supposed to do. Let them know of who is responsible for doing what. However, remember to assign an addition person or two, to handle any other last minute emergencies especially on things to do with certain vendors/service providers.

Get your manicure done

Spare a few hours off to go do you manicure and pedicure so that you won’t have to rush to have it done on the big day. This will also give you some bonding time with your bridesmaids and enjoy a stress-free moment off the anxiety of a pre-wedding afternoon. You may as well take this moment to express your gratitude to them (bridesmaids) for all their gracious help.

Have an emergency kit

It’s always good to have an emergency kit on standby. It should have some bobby pins, safety pins, sewing kit, deodorant, extra buttons, lip balm, tissue, hair ties, a sanitary pad or two, a pair of scissors and a makeup for touch up. You should have one of your bridesmaids hang on to this for you.

Spend some time with the family

Much as this whole process and the mere thought of having to walk away from your family is an emotional one for you, it is also an emotional one for your family as well. It is therefore important that you spend some quality time with the family for a simple meal together or have a conversation. Take this moment to truly thank them for everything they have been to you in your life and to appreciate them for their love.

Lay out everything you need

Panic, nerves, anxiety and some bit of pressure are things that will make you a forgetful bride. Keep calm and stay organised by laying all your wedding essentials on the bed or by the bed, and tick off each item by item so that you can just pick everything up in the morning and go. You may also do a quick quality check for the bridal wear and accessories.

Write him a love note

Tomorrow being a special day that is meant to bind you as one for the rest of your lives, write to your groom a sweet small love letter before the day ends. Tell him how you feel about marrying him and of course tell him that you love him. You may also tell him about how you feel at that particular moment and what’s going on in your heart. It will make you love each other more as a couple and in case you bought him a gift, you can use this time to wrap it.

Say a prayer

Say a small prayer to thank God who has guided you throughout the entire hectic planning and preparation process. Seek his grace that tomorrow goes as planned.

Go to sleep!

Once you’re done with everything, go get some sleep preferably by 11pm. Your body needs that rest (to go into repair mode). When the big day comes tomorrow, you’ll be all ready and prepared to shine!
